NOEL Doyle's talented three-year-old Celtic Dancer is giving him a lot to ponder.

Doyle is wrestling with two distinctly different options for Saturday's gutsy Doomben winner.

Celtic Dancer has started only four times after a break and Doyle considers him up to some attractive races at the Sydney carnival, with the Randwick Guineas close to the top of the list.

If he does go down that path, Celtic Dancer would not compete at the Brisbane winter carnival.

"If we are going to concentrate on the winter meetings in our back yard, then he can have a short break now," Doyle said.

"I'll see how the horse progresses in the next few days and talk it over with the owners."

Celtic Dancer's margin was narrow but he carried 58kg and conceded 6kg to most of his rivals.
